Through professional partnerships, public education, and inclusive services.
Our core mission revolves around four key pillars:
- Child and Adolescent Health
We provide accessible information and support services tailored to the unique health needs of children and young people. From nutrition and hygiene to growth and development, we aim to empower families and caregivers with the tools to ensure healthy childhoods. - Mental Health Awareness and Support
Mental health is just as important as physical health. We work to reduce stigma, raise awareness, and offer supportive resources for individuals struggling with emotional and psychological challenges—especially among youth and vulnerable populations. - Public Health Education
Through workshops, online content, and community campaigns, we educate the public on important health topics, including disease prevention, reproductive health, and healthy lifestyles. Our goal is to help people make informed decisions about their health. - Community Engagement
We actively engage in outreach programs that bring health education and basic services to under-served areas. Our outreach efforts foster trust, strengthen communities, and bridge the gap in access to health information and care.
Together, we believe that awareness, education, and early intervention can transform lives. Join us in building a healthier, more informed, and resilient society.
Our Story
What began as a routine conversation turned into a movement for change. While engaging mothers in Kotwi, a peri-urban community in the Atwima Kwanwoma District, Lemon Foundation asked a simple question:
“Have your children received their full schedule of Vitamin A?”
Many mothers had not completed the nationally recommended Vitamin A supplementation schedule for children (every six months between 24 to 59 months), as outlined by the Ghana Health Service under the Ministry of Health. These missed appointments are silently impacting child growth, immunity, and brain development.
under the initiative dubbed the “Good Health for Children” project that adopts a continuous, multi-year care model in which children are enrolled from Year two and consistently followed up until they turn five. Each enrolled child receives biannual Vitamin A supplementation and deworming, alongside routine anthropometric assessments (such as height, weight, and mid-upper arm circumference measurements). These assessments are crucial for tracking growth patterns, detecting early signs of malnutrition, and ensuring timely referrals for further nutritional or medical support. This long-term, data-driven approach not only strengthens individual child health outcomes but also helps build a resilient, healthier community.
